FAQs
Q. 1 I had registered at UPES Alumni sometime in the past but have
forgotten my username and password?
A. 1 All registered users have been sent an email containing their old
usernames and passwords along with a link allowing them to 'update/ edit
profile'. In case you have not received this mail it may be that you are using a
different email id than the one you registered with. Please get in touch with
alumni@upes.ac.in
Q. 2 I wish to register at UPES Alumni for the first time. How do I do
so?
A. 2 You may register your details and profile but the same will not
appear on the site right away. The alumni office will verify your details and
send you a confirmation of your registration within 7days time. This is
necessary to ensure that only genuine UPES alumni are given access to the site
Q. 3 What are the additional features in the website?
A. 3 The most important new feature is that each one of alumni will have
a personal homepage. This features alumni profile (as updated by alumni),
photograph as well as a scrapbook where other alumni can leave messages. Alumni
will also have an inbox where alumni can receive personal messages from other
alumni. Whenever such a message is received in Alumni’s inbox he will get an
intimation of the same in his permanent email id (which alumni have registered
at the site with).
Q. 4 What is "message my batch" and "message my chapter"?
A. 4 When you register at UPES Alumni you automatically become a member
of two 'egroups': Your batch group Your chapter group Eg. A 2005 alumnus from
Mumbai will be part of 05 group and Mumbai chapter group. You can send messages
to all members of your batch or chapter using the messaging facility.
Q. 5 What more can I do to contribute to the site?
A. 5 - Send in details of any UPES Alumni or alumni who has been in the
news for the 'Newsmakers' section - Participate at the Bulletin Boards - suggest
new topics, offer to moderate the boards - Advertise jobs at your company
suiting the alumni profile.
